Modeling Terms

I will drop a few modeling terms and meanings now then later we talk more about it it because following this post is one topic I can't wait to address....okay, back to modeling terms :)

Agency: an agency is an establishment that does business on behalf of the model and generally represents models before third parties particularly for business purposes and for an agreed fee (usually between 20%-30% of the model's professional fees depending on the agency or country).

Advertising Agency: A company that is set up primarily to create adverts for brands which are also known as advertisers.

Bit: where a model acting as an extra does something on camera without taking any line, he/she is said to be doing a bit.

Cast off: it is a garment in which the original owner will never wear again.

Casting: a process whereby clients or casting directors assess models to seek out the models most suitable for a particular assignment .

Casting couch: when sex is solicited from a model for a role in a commercial print project or any other job. Walking out on such offers has proven to be the best move, as it takes more than that to be successful in the industry ..... Its either you have it or you don't!

To be continued ......
